The Neilson Personal Papers include extensive family material. His letters to his brother and sisters are particularly valuable. Other letters present Neilson's view of life at Bryn Mawr College under M. Carey Thomas, his experiences tutoring Helen Keller at Radcliffe College, and his first impressions of Smith College. The also collection reflects his strong interest in liberal politics. Also included are writings of Elisabeth Muser Neilson and the Muser, Neilson and Allan family papers. Material relating to Margaret Farrard Thorp's 1956 biography, Neilson of Smith is included in the collection. Other materials includes correspondence, manuscripts, press releases, lecture notes, texts of speeches, and photographs.

William Allan Neilson Personal Papers

Hammond, William Churchill, 1860-1949; college teacher and organist. Mount Holyoke College faculty member, 1899-1937. Papers contain scrapbooks, correspondence, materials relating to his arrangement of "White's Air," music programs, biographical information, memorabilia, sound recordings, and photographs; primarily documenting his work as an organist in area churches and at Mount Holyoke.

William Hammond papers

The records include publications, pamphlets and catalogs of the WCRC; programming materials, conference reports, background research files, and audiovisual material. Major topics include issues around race, gender, poverty and social justice activism in the U.S; advocacy for women and families of color; global women's issues and advocacy for women's rights, reproductive health and economic development, especially printed materials and video footage of the UN conference on Women in Beijing, 1995. The latest series in this collection, from 1980-2009, contains files, newsletters, and Board Meeting Minutes and financials of the Women of Color Resource Center. A/V materials includes floppy disks containing Women of Color Resource Center back-up files, audiocassettes, and CDs of photos and additional back-up files.

Women of Color Resource Center records

This collection includes oral histories of women and gender non-conforming rock musicians prominent from the late twentieth century to the present. Interview narrators were chosen by Tanya Pearson. All interviews are available as videorecordings, and transcripts are available for some interviews. The remaining transcripts will be available after 2025.   See the finding aid for links to video interviews.

This record group is comprised of microfilmed records of the predecessor organizations, minutes, and reports of the YWCA of the U.S.A., as well as the organization's subject files and records recording interactions between the national association, community associations, and registered groups. The original records were created between 1884 and 1970 and were microfilmed between 1964 and 1984.

YWCA of the U.S.A. records

The Zilpah Polly Grant Banister Papers contain correspondences, 1824-1874; writings, 1820-1874; biographical sketches, 1803-1971; and maps and charts, ca. 1819-1836. Of particular note is the collection of letters written to and by Banister. Banister's sixty letters to family members, former students and colleagues reflect her activities at Adams Female Academy and Ipswich Female Seminary and provide information about her views on education and religion, her travels, and her health and financial affairs.
