Harriette A. Wells Royce Journals

Hart-Lester Harris (Class of 1913) is an alumna of Smith College. The collection contains correspondence, diaries, news clippings, memorabilia and photographs describing the student life and Harris' perspectives. Topics range broadly from exams to professors, college and community social events, basketball and dramatics, cross-college events at Amherst College and Mount Holyoke, home life and trips to large cities, such as New York City and Boston.

Hart-Lester Harris papers

Lay, Helen Brainerd; Librarian. Mount Holyoke Female Seminary graduate, 1887. Papers consist of a collection of book-plates designed and engraved by her brother-in-law, Edwin Davis French. Other material consists of the work of Cleora Wheeler, Octave Uzanne, K. Nakata and Yumimaro Ohmori. The correspondence is between Helen Brainerd Lay, Mount Holyoke College librarians, book-plate engravers, and other collectors. Also contains some periodicals, catalogs, advertisements, and supplementary books.

Helen Brainerd Lay Bookplate Collection

The Helle collection of Plath family photographs was assembled by June Johnson Helle with additions from her mother, Martha Plath Johnson, and her aunt, Frieda Plath Heinrichs, who were sisters of Otto Emil Plath. The collection is comprised of photographs of Otto Emil Plath and his siblings, as well as his wife, Aurelia Schober Plath; their two children, Warren and Sylvia Plath; and their Schober relatives.

Josephine Kingsley Hardy Papers

Katsi Cook is a member of the Wolf Clan of the Mohawk tribe. She participates in national and international women’s health movements and monitors indigenous rights in the drafting of midwifery legislation. The Katsi Cook papers are comprised of materials about Cook and her midwifery and women's health practice in the Akwesasne Mohawk community on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation in northern New York State and on the adjacent Akwesasne reserve in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. They also contain materials about Cook's activism related to environmental contamination and human health, as well as indigenous rights and environmental justice.

Katsi Cook papers

James, L. Stanley, 1925-1994; physician and researcher in the physiology of fetuses and newborn infants. Papers dating from circa 1920-1994 consist of correspondence, writings, research material, biographical information, sound recordings, and photographs relating to James as well as his colleague, physician and anesthesiologist Virginia Apgar. Most materials concern James' research interests and Apgar's life and work, including the Apgar Score that she developed to assess the health of newborns.
