For junior members of the YWCA of the U.S.A., the only representatives at convention are the local junior members and adult leaders of groups from around the country. Beginning in the nineteenth century as bible studies, the YWCA of India, Burma and Ceylon has a long and rich history including early cooperation with the YWCA of the U.S.A. In response to the growing need for social workers in India, the Y.W.C.A. of India, Burma and Ceylon works under the guidance of the YWCA of the U.S.A. to form a school for social work in Delhi.
