Eight Essays, Six Stories, and a Bibliography This Division III is part intellectual biography, part literary analysis, part prose, and part poetry. It deals chiefly with the work of Wilfred Bion, tracing his roots in Freud and Klein, and his branches through Ogden and Grotstein. The history of ideas is of paramount importance, as are notions of dreaming, and the constructive act of individuation. The non-theoretical part of this Division III represents psychoanalysis from the perspective of analysand. The work is structured the way one analytic session relates to the others along nonlinear, weaving lines, creating a wildly incomplete “whole.”
