This document consists of studies (sketches) of the Velletri Mosaic, along with Marion Blake's notes, probably done at the archaeological excavation site when she visited it. Brief notes are written above or beside each drawing on the front of the sheet, giving the location of the mosaics in the villa, as well as some descriptive information. The notes are continued on the back of the sheet, with some information about when the villa may have been built. On each side of the sheet, a scholarly citation is written, indicating a source for the information.

The writing and drawings in this document are done in pencil on parchment-like paper in Marion Blake's hand. The front of the sheet has two sketches depicting two different mosaics. The back has no drawings, only notes. The paper has yellowed somewhat with age, and there is some wrinkling in the top left corner of the front.
