This is a photograph of Marion Blake sitting in the cavea (seating section) of an ancient Roman theater in Italy, near the villa where Cicero wrote his "Tusculan Disputations." It was probably taken in the 1920s or 1930s. It is from an album of photographs of the Mount Holyoke Class of 1913. A caption at the bottom of the page reads "Only 2000 years late for the play up in the little theatre near the villa where Cicero wrote his Tusculan Disputations."
