Stoddard writes about the peacock feather that he has kept to show that he is an "honorary member" of the class of 1883. On the envelope, Clarke (nee Lawrence) writes that Stoddard's children sent the feather to her after his death. She wore the feather to her 50th and 55th class reunions.
