The director of the Smith College of Museum of Art writes to Clarke (Elizabeth Crocker Lawrence) regarding her portrait in Lawrence House. They had discussed a new frame for the portrait, but Schenck now thinks the painting may be too big for the space, and that a smaller sketch should me made.
